John Sipe Violins Get Wide-Spread Recognition And Praise Nadir Khashimow (born 1990), one of the most remarkable young violinists of today, plays a John Sipe Guarneri del Gesu-model violin. Nadir is currently a student at the famed Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia under the tutelage of Pamela Frank and Shmuel Ashkenasi. He holds scholarships from the President of Uzbekistan and the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. Besides being the winner of some of the most prestigious international violin competitions, Nadir Khashimov has performed as a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Navarra Orchestra (Spain,) Monte Carlo Philharmonic (Monaco), and most recently, in June 2011, he performed the Tschaikowsky Violin Concerto with the acclaimed Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra.
