Violin making
has become an on going subject of debate, shrewd opinions and many outrageous
experiments since the deaths of the great Italian makers Now, entering the 21st. century, radical
changes and unfounded experiments have slowed the process of reproducing
instruments equal to those of the great historical makers. What has developed
is an international hi-tech highway that is spreading a plethora of radical
views propergated by misleading articles, speculation and slick advertising,
which produces instruments of the "cookie cutter" variety
resembling an assembly line product.
Each of us would love to own one of the old masterpieces,
but with the rising cost and diminishing avialibility, we are forced to seek
out the best of the contemporary makers who exhibit unmistakable
individuality, but who still adhere to the principles of the old Italian
masters. Today, we have very high
expectations and anticipations that must be met. So, what’s the answer?
Avoid the "cookie cutter” syndrome and audition an instrument by
John Sipe, who has been making world class instruments for over 30 years.
These professional quality violins exhibit individuality as well as the
proven developed methods of old Cremona, but at a fraction of the cost. So, if you’re looking for a new concert
violin, that doesn’t have to be played for fifty years or longer to produce the
excellent old Cremona sound, then give me a call.
You are invited to see and audition his
instruments at his new location. All inquiries are confidential and handled
in a most professional manner. Inventory is limited, so call or send an
e-mail today for an
appointment. The experience will be rewarding!
